The EXPO staff is committed to the production of the greenest show possible. The staff will continue to make environmentally sound improvements on this show and all the surrounding elements.

Institute a comprehensive recycling program and communicate to attendees

• Promote the use of public transportation and energy saving alternatives
• Turn off lighting and air conditioning when rooms are not in use
• Supply bulk dispensers or reusable containers for beverages, food and condiments
• Observe and develop an energy efficiency program with AmericasMart
• Implement a water-conservation program
• Go electronic and reduce paper usage at all levels whenever possible
• Use recycled or recyclable products when available
• Train staff and volunteers on all green initiatives
• Implement green initiatives and promote the guidelines of environmental agencies, organizations, and individuals
• Use organics foods and request caterers uses locally grown organic products whenever available
• A policy to use biobased or biodegradable products, including biobased cafeteria ware
• Show signage and graphics will be reused from show to show
